Sucker Punch Productions has created another masterpiece with Ghost of Tsushima. The game is set in Japan in the year 1274 and tells the story of Jin Sakai, the last samurai on the island of Tsushima.
In this article, we are going to focus on Legends Mode. What is it? How do you play it? And what are the rewards? Let’s take a closer look.
Legends is a new game mode that will be available as a free update in Ghost of Tsushima on October 16, 2020. This is an additional cooperative multiplayer experience where you can team up with your friends or other players from around the world to fight against enemies and complete missions.
You can play Legends in two different modes: Story Mode and Survival Mode.
Story Mode consists of four chapters that tell the story of two legendary warriors, a ronin named Ryuzo, and a hunter named Masako. They are fighting to protect Tsushima from an invading Mongol army in this game mode. You will start off with one character but unlock more over time as you progress through the chapters.
Survival Mode is a wave-based game mode where you and your friends will fight against waves of enemies to survive as long as possible. These enemies range from Mongol invaders, Oni warriors, giant beasts, and more enemy types that have never been seen before in Ghost of Tsushima! You can also play this mode solo or with friends.
Rivals is a new game mode that will be available on October 16, 2020. In this mode, you will compete against other players in timed challenges to see who can get the best score. There are three different types of challenges:
- Battle: Fight against waves of enemies and survive as long as possible.
- Collect: Collect as many items as possible in the time limit.
- Race: Reach the end of the track before your opponents do.
There are also leaderboards so you can compare your scores with other players around the world.
How to Play Legends Mode?
To access the Legends mode from the game’s main menu, select “Legends” then choose either “Story” or “Survival.”
In Story mode, you will be able to play a prologue mission that is not part of any chapter and does not count towards your progress. This prologue mission is just a tutorial to help you get started. The first chapter will be unlocked once you finish the prologue mission.
You can also unlock chapters in Survival mode by completing waves. There are five waves in each chapter and when you complete all of the waves, the next chapter will be unlocked.
Completing missions and challenges in Legends Mode will reward you with experience, gold, and new cosmetic items. You can use these rewards to level up your multiplayer character or buy new gear for them in the store!
The cosmetic items include:
- Armor sets (head, chest, arms, and legs)
- Melee weapons that you can use when fighting enemies during missions. This will make it easier to kill them without being hit by their attacks!
- Charms that give special bonuses such as extra health or damage resistance when equipped to your character.
You can also use the gold you earn from completing challenges and missions in this mode to buy new skins for weapons which will change how they look but not what stats they have. This allows players who want to use a certain weapon to have a unique look while using it!
